Nostalgia for a Phantom Place

Barbara

Barbara grew up in Northern New England where she first discovered the fascinations of the small moments in Maine coast flea markets and of the juxtaposition of untold stories in New Hampshire rummage sales, images she captured with a Brownie camera and a journal. After studying art history and creative writing, she started to explore visual storytelling with image and word. She is a photographer, writer, digital storyteller, storytelling consultant, ecological gardener working from her Vermont studio when she’s not on the road in search of story.
